Downsizing Services The North Central Career Centers Rapid Response Team provides early intervention re-employment services to companies and their employees affected by layoffs and closing. Mandated and funded, in part, by the Workforce Investment Act, our quality, on-site, outplacement services provide an effective and smooth transition to new employment for all of your affected employees. These services are provided at no cost to you, saving you money on expensive outplacement services. Through the North Central Career Centers Rapid Response services we offer information on: · Mass Unemployment and Training Laws, · Federal Legislation, · Business Incentive Programs and Training Assistance, and · Onsite outplacement services including recruitments, Job Search workshops, individual counseling, and information for your affected employee about retraining programs.
If your
company is experiencing a temporary business slowdown, consider
participating in the
Massachusetts' WorkSharing Program
as an alternative to layoffs that are disruptive for you and your
workforce. WorkSharing allows workers in an entire company, a company
department, or even a small unit within the company to share reduced work
hours while also collecting unemployment insurance benefits to supplement
